New tv-shows on my watch-list

There a lot's of new shows this fall and here is a few I think is worth keeping an eye on. I am sure all of them aren't staying on the air and some of them are not at good as they look in the previews but as far as I can tell for now these might be worth checking out:

ABC

This one is called the river and it looks as a good mix between horror and sci-fi (maybe even a little Lost-like???)

Looks like fairytale world has caught up with the tv-shows this year - but this one looks like one of the better. It is the writer's behind lost - so it can't be all bad can it??

FOX

This one I am not too sure about - I like the actors and I like Bones (the same creators), but I am not sure this show can hold it's own. A bit like the Criminal Minds spin off last year. It looked promising but I really don't think it flies well solo...

This one on the other hand is on of the most promising ones. JJ Abrams is behind it (the guy behind shows like Alias, Lost and Fringe) and it is diffinatly a show I am gonna check out this fall.

NBC

Yet another show I am not to sure about, but it got a few great actors (Adien Quinn from Legends of the fall - movie and  Kirk Acevedo from Fringe - fox tvshow) in it and who knows maybe that is enough - but I am not sure it is a show with a long life though.

This is the NBC show I think looks the best. Jason Isaacs is a great actor, but other that that I can't help but see the Fringe inspiration in this show. It is not two universes like in Fringe, but this guy clearly lives in two worlds - can't wait to see which on is real. If any!!

I will be back with shows from CW and CBS one of these days too :) Untill then enjoy these...

Cheers

Larry Crowne

In case you didn't notice I love beautiful promotion pictures. These were taken for W magazine by Mario Sorrenti to promote the upcoming movie Larry Crowne with Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks in the leadning roles.

Not only are the pictures beautiful, but I also think the movie is great. I for one is diffinatly looking forward to seeing it :)

Sean McCann - Long Road Lead Me On lyrics

I just checked my blog status and saw quite a few people come across the blog searching for the lyrics to Sean McCann's Long Road lead me On and since it is one of my favourite songs I thought I would provide it:

This road is gonna be the death of me
Tonight might be my last
With 18 wheels and time to steal
...There’ll be no turning back

This highway is a hammer and I’m a rusty nail
Struck into an iron mast blown by these old sails
A one night stand – a heat without a heart
It’s no man’s land – an ending with no start

Oh long road lead me on and on

It’s a slick black ribbon wrapped round the widow’s neck
A soul left unforgiven in a room full of regret
It’s a ready aimed riffle – a half cocked loaded gun
And I am gonna ride this bullet till there is no where left to run

Oh long road lead me on
Oh long road lead me on and on

It’s cold barbed wire cut through a desert frost
A funeral fire – ashes on to dust
A silent surrender – a breaking on black ice
This road is an alter and I’m her sacrifice

Oh long road lead me on
Oh long road lead me on
Oh long road lead me on and on
And on

This road is gonna be the death of me

A movie that gets me everytime...

I just watched "I am Sam" on tv tonight - and like every other time I've rewatched the movie I managed to forget just how incrediblely moving it really is - and like any other time I watched it it had me crying. Amazing acting and a beautiful script! If you never seen it - it comes highly recommended :)

This is just one reason for loving the movie:
"OK, remember when Paul McCartney wrote the song "Michelle" and then he only wrote the first part, Annie said. And then he gave that part to John Lennon, and he wrote the part that said, "I love you, I love you, I love you." And Annie said that it wouldn't have been the same song without that... and that's why the whole world cried when the Beatles broke up on April 10, 1970."
- Sam (Sean Penn)

Walking the line with Annie Leibovitz...

These last three days I wanna share some of Annie Leibovitz amazing photos with you. Starting with the promotion pictures she did for Walk the Line. Thesa pictures are the first promotion pictures I can remember really admiring and actually printing to put up on my wall. Check them out...

The lighting is amazing in all of these photos and she just got a way of making the personalities poop. Even if you have not seen the movie you get a clear sense of what is going on between this character (or real people as they all so where). The pictures are of Reese Witherspoon playing June Carter and Joaquin Phoenix playing Johnny Cash.
Hope you'll enjoy them as much as I do!

Today I am gonna show you a few more Peter Lindberg photos. In case you forgot he was the photographer who shot the Water for Elephants spread I showed you guys earlier this week.

These first three pictures are all of Natalie Portman and are taken in connection with the movie that earned her an Oscar: Black Swan.

This one is of Natalia Vodianova and Ewan McGreagor and it was taken for the american Vogue in 2010.

This one is of Charlize Theron and it was taken in 2005 - I am not quit sure for which magazine though but it might have been Bazaar US.

This is my fav one out of them all. It is of Kate Winslet and it was taken for Chinesse Vouge back in 2005.

I hope you enjoyed the picture - stay tuned for a new photographer and more pictures tomorrow :) As always click on the photo for full sieze :)

Water for elephants spread

First of all a short note to my previous post. The picture I showed of the danish royal family was taken by danish photographer Marc Høm and was taken for german Vogue. Thanks for the help Theresa.

The pictures I wanna share for you today are a fashion spread in Vogue magazine promoting Water for Elephants. The woman is the pictures is Reese Witherspoon who plays the female lead in the movie. The photographer behind this spread is german Peter Lindbergh.

Also worth to mention - these are the pictures that first inspired me to do a Week of Pictures and again I should thank Theresa since she is the one who shared them with me a few weeks back. Check out her blog Girlbird's and take a look at the spread. (Click on the pictures to see them in their full sieze)

The cover

I love this dress!

This is amazing shot. Such a
majestic animal and notice the
pround look in Reese's eyes.

A gentle giant and a geogeous dress.

Without a doubt my favorite one. The lighting is incredible
and there is something almost magical over this on.
AMAZING!
I hope to get to see this movie in theathers this spring/summer and I think you should check it out to. Just look how beautiful this trailer is:

Month of Fantasy and Week of Pictures..

I was bored ealier today and I was looking through some different photographs on my laptop and I've decided that through out this week I'll be sharing with you some of my favorite promotion pictures for tv-shows, movies and celeb/fashion photographers.

This does not fall under any of these catogories but I've always liked it so I hope that you will too:

The picture is off the danish royal family. Crownprince Frederik, crownprincess Mary (pregnant with Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine), Prince Christian and Princess Isabella. I am not sure who took the picture, but I love oldfashion meeting modern - kinda suiting for this little family.
Futhermore I finished Mansfield Park a few days ago (not the best Austen work I've read but it was okay) and this month my book challange asks me to read Fantasy - sooo if u got any ideas for me please drop me a note like always. By the way I've already read Harry Potter, Narnia and Lord of the Rings so no need recommending those...

Hope you got some ideas for me and you'll enjoy the pictures this week.
