Why should a woman that was raped 16 years ago not have a chance for a trail when she finally realizes that is what she want - maybe because she hears she was not the only one he ever did it to. Is it really right that he can only be convicted for the one rape and not the older one because it happened to many years ago?
Or what about a kid that was abused when he/she was 10 years old and finally just remember it when they are in their 30s - cause that is how memories work sometimes. If the abuse was by a parent or a close friend of the family, which is often the case, they might not dare to speak up untill they are adults. Often kids blame themselves or are just scared what will happen if they speak up.
Is it really right a child molester can’t be convicted just because he is good enough at scaring his victims into silence?
I think the limitation law should be removed from all rape cases, wheather is happens to grown-ups or kids. There are no limitation law on murder and rape is murder of the soul. If it happens to a kid the molester also murders their childhood! This is my opinion…
