I was bored ealier today and I was looking through some different photographs on my laptop and I've decided that through out this week I'll be sharing with you some of my favorite promotion pictures for tv-shows, movies and celeb/fashion photographers.
This does not fall under any of these catogories but I've always liked it so I hope that you will too:
The picture is off the danish royal family. Crownprince Frederik, crownprincess Mary (pregnant with Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine), Prince Christian and Princess Isabella. I am not sure who took the picture, but I love oldfashion meeting modern - kinda suiting for this little family.
Futhermore I finished Mansfield Park a few days ago (not the best Austen work I've read but it was okay) and this month my book challange asks me to read Fantasy - sooo if u got any ideas for me please drop me a note like always. By the way I've already read Harry Potter, Narnia and Lord of the Rings so no need recommending those...
Hope you got some ideas for me and you'll enjoy the pictures this week.

Post 100 and a few books.

This month is a month I have been looking forward to when it comes to the Book Challenge, since it asks it's participants to read a book from the 1800s. I love books from this era and there were lots of brilliant authors back then - danish aswell as english.
I had a bit of trouble chosing a book though since there are so many great ones, but during the last month I narrowed it down to two books and yesterday I finally made up my mind and ordered the book on the local library's website.
The book I didn't pick was Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, and I am not really sure why I didn't choose this one to be honest. His novel A Christmas Carol has been a favorite of mine for a long time and every christmas I both read the book and watch my favourite version of the movie (the one with Patrick Stewart) and I have wanted to read Oliver Twist for a long time too, but have have just never really gotten around to it. Who knows if I finish the book I picked over Oliver Twist I might just read it anyway!

e
Offcourse I will as always let you know what I thought about the book at the end of this month or the beginning of the next.
Cheers.

Listening and searching...
I love watching Grey's Anatomy - not because of the doctor thing, but because of all of the emotions and the drama. A girly reason really ;)
One of the things that makes the show so great is the music and how it always plays of the emotions of the actors in just the way and now the creators of the show has taken the music element on the show to the next level.
Last week the first musical episode in the show's history rolled of the screen - and it is amazing. A lot of the actor's got great voices and it looks as if there is real drama present in this episode to (haven't seen it yet since I've fallen a bit behind).
Here are the two songs I've found on the internet that I like the best - and here's too my favourite character Callie makes it through this episode and many to come!
Chasing cars because it is an amazing song (originally done by Snow Patrol) and because Sara Ramirez (Callie Torres) and Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt) really proves to be amazing singers aswell as actors!

The next song I have chosen are How to save a life (originally done by The Fray), and I chose this because it is an amazing song. The lyrics are really powerful and the acting aswell as the singing in this clip is beautiful.

Spring is here???
Oh not yet no - but March is, which means the hope that it will be here soon :) The days are getting longer and hopefully the days will be a bit warmer soon (and the snow might dissapear completly untill next winter too)
March for me means light, a few birthdays and a new reading challenge. This month it is danish female writers (which is a bit difficult since I haven't really read anything by a danish female writer since I left highshcool - not very much atleast). Denmark holds a lot of good writers and I am looking forward to this one. If you got any suggestions - as always let me know.
For the book I read last month - I'll do a blog post about that one too sometime this weekend.
Doesn't spring always wanna make you dance and sing??? ;)

Everything's Eventual
I have decided on a book for my reading challenge:
My sister is a big Stephen King collector and I haven't really read anything of his since high school so I decided it might be time to pick up a few of his books again. I've already read the first of the fourteen short stories this book contains. So far the book is very promising.

Another crime novel
Okay I know I said that I wanted to read Prized Possesions next, but I couldn't really seem to get started on that one, so I pick up Sherlock Holmes instead which was a quick read. I love the old Sherlock Holmes movies and Tv-show and the new movie is quit good too. I must say I don't think I'll be a keen reader of these books either, but for a crime novel is was great and I do think I might have to get my hands on a few more Sherlock Holmes books at a later date :) Click on the picture if you wanna know more about the book.

First crime novel no hit!
The first crime novel I chose to read (as part of the book challenge I am taking part in this year) was Deja-Death by Kathy Reichs and it was not nearly as good as I expected. It is safe to say I prefer the show Bones which is based one these books than the actual books.
The book is a slow starter and it never really caught my interest. A few times I actually found myself reading without noticing what I was reading = I was bored.
So this first one was not a succes. Crime Novels has never really been my thing but I will keep trying since January is not through yet. My next attempt will be Prized Possesions by L.R Wright will hopefully turn out more to my liking.

Book Challenge 1: Crime Novels
Okay this book challenge has proved to be just that. I don't often read Crime Novels so I hasen't been easy for me to find a book I found interesting (add to it it has to be written before 2000 and it is next to impossible)!!!
I know, I know - I am wailing especially since I ended up finding more than one book - but not without help from friends and ispiration from TV and it still wasn't easy. I am not sure I'll end up reading them all but here is what I came up with - 5 different novels by 5 different authors:
1. This first book is written by Arthur Conan Doyle and it is called The hound of Baskersvilles. I have been meaning to read a Sherlock Holmes novel for quite some time now and I thought it was about time. I know the stories of the british detective very well from TV and the 2010 movie, but I am embarresed to admit I actually never read one of the books.
2. This next novel is written by the author Ian Rankin - and I have never read anything by him but I do weakly recollect the mini series one tv about John Rubus played by John Hannah. This book is also about John Rubus and I have been meaning to try out these books to for a while now and the book challenge is a good excuse.
3. This novel is called The Third Twin and the writer is Ken Follett - an author I am very fimiliar with. He has written books like A place called freedom (one of my favorite books and worth a read), Pillars of the earth and Whiteout - but I have never read this one - well because it is a crime novel and as I said I don't normally read to many of those, but Follett is a great writer and I thought he should make the cut.
4. My forth choice is by the author Kathy Reichs with one of her books about Temperence Brennan. You may know the name from the tv-show Bones and yes it is Reichs' books about her crime fighthing anthropologist which inspired the show. I love the show but I have never read any of the books so I thought I'd better start with the first: Deja-Death.
5. This last book on my list is actually the one I am looking forward to the most. I have never heard of the author before nor the book and the only reason I picked it was because the summary sounded great. I can't wait to read this one and I thing it might be the one that surprises me the most - if it is going to be in a good way or a bad way I can't tell yet.

So these are the books I am going to read this month if the library is quick enough to get them to me and if I find them catchy enough I might get through them all - if not well than atleast I've gotten started on crime novel and who knows - I might like it :)
